Middle of July
The fourth of July found us on Shelter Island, NY. Right on the water, and it was just wonderful. In an old house that belongs to the family of my son-in-law since the early 1920's. His great-grand-father bought/built the house, and it still has things from that time in it. Little has changed in the house. It also has a 'cottage', which is a 3-car garage with 3 rooms attached, where 'extra' guests sleep. It is a treat to be invited there anytime, I love going there in the middle of winter as well.
